So a bit about me, my name is Brandon and I'm an energetic and driven Full Stack Software Engineer who deeply values family and personal connections. I thrive on working towards my goals while fostering excellent camaraderie within my team. Juggling multiple tasks is second nature to me, thanks to my experience raising two kids and managing a zoo's worth of pets. I'm passionate about creating unique, efficient, and user-friendly applications from design to deployment and beyond. As the Replatform Lead supporting multiple U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs modernization initiatives, I lead the migration of mission-critical legacy applications to modern, scalable Appian solutions. My responsibilities span solution architecture, technical leadership, application development, process automation, enterprise integrations, and mentoring developers throughout the software development lifecycle. In my time as an Instructor for the Institute of Data I served as an integral part of the teaching team, enhancing student learning experiences in a fast-paced software development course. Demonstrate expertise by swiftly addressing coding errors during breakout sessions, ensuring uninterrupted main lecture flow. Spearhead troubleshooting for student project glitches, crafted coding examples to illuminate specific exercises, and meticulously document each session for continuous course improvement and to aid students with revisiting recorded course material. Track and assist with grading individual assignments making sure they are up to current code standards and structure and update class progression on several different platforms such as slack, google sheets and Monday.com. Collaboratively work with the lead instructor, merging academic rigor with practical insights to deliver a dynamic and impactful curriculum.

As a Senior Technician/Field Supervisor at TNT Cable Contractors, I oversee field operations in partnership with Cox Communications, ensuring the efficient execution of projects. Carepulse is an easy to use Patient and Caretaker application portal that utilizes a simplistic approach in order to schedule and manage medical appointments. It utilizes NextJs for the framework alongside Appwrite for the cloud database, Twilio for SMS notifications about appointment creation and updates & finally Sentry for site traffic monitoring and control.

The application is focused around a user-centric design aiming to optimize the easy of finding a particular product in an every changing market inventory.

Fantasy Nexus
Fantasy Nexus is a Personal Project that I started developing as part of My Capstone for the Institute of Data. Its intent is to create a more interactive experience for players of the table top RPG Dungeons and Dragons by creating an inviting UI that is easily navigatable but still contains a broad scope of usability. It utilizes a React framework and uses NodeJS paired with sequelize to coordinate with a MySQL database. There is a custom Playing card style component that is being used to show off active resources like player characters in a more modern and fun way as well as some other features currently under development.
